A CEO transition is taking place at Builderhead, as the company’s co-founder Julius Tuomikoski has been appointed to the role starting from November 14, 2025. At the same time, Sami Kivensalo moves into the role of Chief Product Officer, allowing him to focus even more strongly on product development.

When Builderhead was originally founded, the CEO and Chair of the Board were chosen in true startup spirit, by flipping a coin. For years, product development has been at the core of the company’s operations, and naturally it will remain so. As growth and internationalization accelerate, it becomes reasonable to clarify roles. In practice, day-to-day work will continue largely as before: Sami and Julius will carry on with their familiar responsibilities, but now with official titles that better support the company’s next stage of development.

Julius has long been responsible for Builderhead’s sales, partnerships, and financing. With the transition, Sami gains the opportunity to fully focus on leading product development and supporting existing customers.
The change strengthens Builderhead’s strategic focus and ensures that the company can continue its growth with clearer role definitions.
